Occupied zone
Illustrated Guide to Mechanical Cooling (BG 1/2010), written by Kevin Pennycook and published by BSRIA in 2010, defines the occupied zone as: ‘The volume of space occupied by people - usually from floor level to a height of 1·8 m. In spaces where the occupants are seated, such as an auditorium, the occupied zone will be smaller.’
